Waterfalls, islands and old towns on your doorstep

Zaboric is a perfect base for exploring central Dalmatia. Two national parks, two UNESCO World Heritage sites and dozens of islands are within easy reach, and your host can arrange boat trips and excursions for the whole group.

Krka National Park

The famous Krka waterfalls, with wooden walkways over the river, are about 30 minutes away by car. Go early in the morning in July and August to avoid the crowds and the heat.

Sibenik old town

The stone old town of Sibenik is 10 minutes away. Visit the Cathedral of St James and St Nicholas Fortress, both on the UNESCO World Heritage list, and climb up to the hilltop fortresses for the view.

Kornati National Park and the islands

A day on a boat among the Kornati islands is one of the highlights of a summer in Dalmatia. Closer to home, the car-free islands of Zlarin and Prvic and the tiny sponge-divers' island of Krapanj are easy half-day trips. Ask Branimira to arrange a private boat for your group.

Primosten

A picture-perfect old town on a small peninsula, about 20 minutes away, with some of the most beautiful beaches in the area.

Our favourite places

  • Bila Lucica, Dolac – our absolute favourite. Excellent Mediterranean food in a perfect spot right above the beach in Dolac, near Primosten. Come for lunch, go for a swim, then stay on the sun loungers in front of the restaurant with a cocktail in hand. It is just as lovely for a special dinner in the evening.
  • Pomalo, Zaboric – a lovely restaurant with good food and a relaxed atmosphere, about 10 minutes on foot from the villa, so you can leave the car at home.
  • Beach Bar Shark, Zaboric – a beautiful beach bar right on the shore. Swim, eat, have a drink: it is easy to spend the whole day here.
  • The sandy beach in Zaboric – a pleasant 15-minute stroll along the waterfront from the villa, no car needed.
  • Raduca peninsula, Primosten – pebble beaches under the pine trees, just a few minutes' walk from Primosten old town. Here you will also find Primosten Cabana, beach cabanas designed and built by our family, with a beautiful view of Primosten and some of the loveliest sunsets on the coast.
